About Hushroom

A quiet, lamplit corner of the internet where strangers focus together.

Hushroom (originally prototyped under the working title Study Together) was born from a simple observation: late at night, millions of students, remote workers, writers, and independent developers sit at their desks trying to finish one more chapter or ship one more feature—alone.

Existing productivity tools either felt like sterile corporate task managers or overwhelming video-call rooms where you had to turn on your webcam in front of strangers. We wanted something warmer, gentler, and more playful: a real-time 3D diorama that feels like stepping into a cozy animated library late in the evening.

In Hushroom, presence replaces pressure. There are no public leaderboards, no guilt-tripping streak notifications, and no mandatory accounts. You customize a 3D clay-toy character, take a seat at the shared oak table alongside up to nine companions from around the world, and work at your own Pomodoro rhythm.

Presence Over Pressure

Seeing nine other people quietly writing at the same table gives you the gentle accountability of a real library without the anxiety of being watched on camera.

Attention Is Sacred

Every design choice in Hushroom protects your focus block: chat is gated to break time, status transitions are silent during focus, and ads never interrupt active work.
