Terms of Service & Community Guidelines — Hushroom

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or playing Hushroom (https://hushroom.online), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Hushroom provides a free, browser-based 3D virtual study hall, avatar customization stage, Pomodoro focus timer, ambient WebAudio soundscape, and break-gated social chat. The service is supported by non-intrusive advertisements served via Google AdSense and Google H5 Games Ads.

3. Community Conduct & Room Safety Rules

Hushroom is a welcoming, quiet space for people studying and working from every country. When choosing a nickname, creating a private room name, or chatting during break time, you agree NOT to:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or impersonate other participants, or post hate speech, discriminatory slurs, or sexually explicit content.

• Post spam, commercial advertisements, phishing links, or personal contact information (doxxing).

• Attempt to disrupt the realtime backend, bypass Cloudflare Turnstile protections, automate bot connections, or interfere with the H5 Games Ad Placement API.

We reserve the right to filter messages, rate-limit connections, or terminate room sessions that violate these rules.

4. Intellectual Property & Audio Credits

All original source code, procedural 3D character and diorama builders, UI design, and written guides/devlogs on Hushroom are copyright © 2026 Hushroom. Ambient field recordings (rain, room tone, and hearth fire) are licensed under CC0 1.0 Public Domain (see `/audio/CREDITS.md`).

5. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

Hushroom is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Because study timer history and avatar presets are stored in your browser’s localStorage, we are not responsible for data loss caused by clearing browser cache, private browsing modes, or device failures.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Continued use of Hushroom after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Contact: hello@hushroom.online.
